Global Classroom
About This Program
The CLP-PI Global Classroom is an innovative virtual learning initiative by Progress Through Innovation Society (PI-BD) that connects students in rural Bangladesh with volunteer teachers from the USA. This program provides live, interactive education while fostering cross-cultural exchange and global exposure for underprivileged students.
Targeted at Class 4 and Class 6 students, the program runs from January to November and relies on smart classroom technology, including smart TVs, microphones, computers, and internet access. Students participate in weekly live sessions led by USA-based high school and college volunteers, using interactive teaching methods such as storytelling, digital presentations, real-time discussions, and Q&A sessions.
The program aims to enhance English proficiency, critical thinking, and engagement among Bangladeshi students, while also developing leadership and teaching skills for international volunteers. It empowers rural schools with digital tools and supports the creation of a sustainable, future-ready learning environment.
Since its inception, the CLP Global Classroom has successfully facilitated direct interaction between students and international volunteers, promoted active participation, and strengthened cross-cultural understanding. Regular monitoring, feedback sessions, and performance tracking ensure that the program maintains high-quality instruction and measurable impact.
Looking forward, the program plans to expand to more rural schools, strengthen volunteer recruitment, and continuously improve teaching content and digital infrastructure. Through this model, CLP-PI aims to build a global learning community, providing rural students with access to quality education and meaningful international exposure, preparing them for future academic and professional success.
