On October 11, 2023, Progress through Innovation (PI), a nonprofit organization focused on bringing technology-aided education to rural, disadvantaged youths in Bangladesh, formed a partnership with the Manob Kollan Foundation (MKF). MKF is recognized by the government and is dedicated to helping poor orphaned children and young adults in Bangladesh by offering support, housing, and education.
As part of this partnership, PI will carry out a one-year computer literacy project with the goal of enhancing computer knowledge and skills among MKF's supported students. The project includes a three-month basic computer course for about 80 students. This course will be assignment-based, ensuring practical learning.
In detail, the agreement includes:
- Conducting student training at MKF's Sirajganj location.
- Providing basic computer training for instructors.
- Offering technical support for the program.
- Overseeing and monitoring the computer literacy course.
- Awarding certificates to students who successfully complete the course.
Through this partnership, PI aims to efficiently achieve its mission of assisting underprivileged youth in Bangladesh by equipping them with essential computer skills.
